Cake Walk

Have you ever played a cake walk before?  Well this is no regular old cake walk!

This is the...Farm Animal Cake Walk!

Cost $1 to play and you pick a big animal card to stand on.  When the music stops and a winner is chosen then you go to the table and pick out your animal cake or pie.  All cakes and pies are decorated as your favorite Heifer International animals!  THEN...we start the music again and pick a 2nd winner!!!

We run the cake walk for 5 straight hours or until we run out of cakes...and we have a lot!

The cakes are so beautiful it's hard to eat them...well not that hard!

All of the cakes are generously donated by local individuals.  If you would like to share in this fun and have a cake to donate please contact Russ Sivey at rsivey@yahoo.com.

Teddy Bear Surgery

Kids bring in their injured stuffed animals for a free surgery.  Ohio State Veterinary Medicine students will surgically repair the babies, complete with anesthesia, bandages, and their own e-collar to wear home.

If your stuffed friend does not need surgery then they will perform a complete physical and send them on their way to enjoy the rest of the festival!

Blessing of the Animals

Companion and farm animals will all be blessed by local pastors.  Feel free to bring in your animals to be blessed.

All pets must be secured by their owner (either leash or kennel) at all times.  Animals must be current on vaccinations, free of infectious disease, and must possess positive temperaments.

We want everyone to enjoy The Heifer Festival and be able to bring their pets with them.  To ensure this privilege is not withdrawn, please control your furry babies, clean up after them and dispose of waste properly.

Water fountains are available to fill your pet's water bowl.

* Owners interested in the Canine Good Citizenship evaluations must contact us so we can ensure you arrive with all materials you will need for the evaluation. Due to the time it takes for these evaluations only a limited number of dogs will be seen. Please sign up early. Contact Lori Anderson at mysticmeadowstwh@earthlink.net
